![]() It’s easy to go quite heavy handed though and one application should be enough for both top and bottom lips, even with the lighter shades which are renowned for being streaky. The formula is rather watery and if I remember correctly, it’s similar to the Ultra Matte Lip (I used to own the shade ‘Solow” but found the formula one of the most drying and, not to mention, the most unflattering when it started to flake and fade away). The doe foot wand is your bog standard, nothing to shout about. Housed in a clear tube with a silver top, it does the job. The packaging is very similar, if not the same, to the Ultra Matte Lip. To be honest, I’d rather have a more comfortable formula that allows for easy touch ups when needed than a formula that felt tight and dry on the lips and where you have to completely remove it to reapply for a nice, even coat. The compromise with the Ultra Satin Lip is that it’s not quite as long wearing as a liquid lipstick, as its not transfer proof nor does it claim to be, but still lasts relatively well when compared to your standard matte lipstick. I like the idea of a liquid lipstick, (you can tell from the number I have bought and reviewed on here over the past year or two) but I’m not always in love (some are alright/fairly good, some are bad, but very few, if any, are perfect) with the execution. It was the appearance of a matte lip in a liquid formula (just like it’s liquid lipstick counterpart, the Ultra Matte Lip) but without the dryness of that often comes with it, that caught my attention. If you’re familiar with these shades at all then you know very well I played it safe and opted for the more neutral tones. After probably a few hours of browsing over the space of a week, not to mention adding and removing shades from my shopping basket numerous times, I finally settled on three shades Magic Wand, Echo Park and Frick & Frack. ![]() That time came a couple of weeks ago and as I’m currently living in Sydney, I can get my hands on them a lot easier (and cheaper) than when I was in the UK! Like with all lipstick purchases, deciding on which shade to go for when you don’t have the luxury of swatching them prior can make an indecisive girl go a little doolally. There’s a lot of hype surrounding the Colourpop Ultra Satin Lips that I have been dying to get my hands on them for some time. Besides the fact, it’s definitely a new line of ColourPop liquid lipsticks to die for.Left to right: Frick ‘n’ Frack, Magic Wand & Echo Park ![]() It does possibly take two layers of coding to make it look more “full”, though. I adore this shade, it has a purple/pink tone to it. I personally have never owned any metallic lipsticks, although I’ve been obsessed with looking at LimeCrime’s on their website. Last but certainly not least, I bought one of ColourPop’s new metallic lipstick shades. Once again the formula is amazing, and I couldn’t be more obsessed. It can really work with many different eyeshadow tones. I love the color of this shade, it gives such a casual tone. Alyssa was actually darker than I expected, but it wasn’t too dark. Although, once you apply them they’re much different in tone. I have to admit that Alyssa is very similar to Chandelier when you first put them together. It looked like a color that would best suit me, so I decided to buy it. I’ve had my eye on this shade for a while. Even though they’re really not! Overall I think this shade applied really well with my skin tone, and I was over joyed with the results. When it dries (which is really quick, by the way) it is so detailed.Ĭonsidering the cheap prices of ColourPop, the lipsticks look expensive. The formula is so smooth on your lips, and it honestly feels amazing. It was the first one I’ve actually worn out in public, and I was obsessed with the formula of these lipsticks. I have to say it’s probably my favorite of all three that I bought. I ordered this shade because I adore the nude/pink shades, and Chandelier was the best purchase in this area. An awesome thing would be if they made stores worldwide! I intend on ordering more of their products in the future, and I would honestly recommend everyone checking out their website. They arrived in about four days, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Since there was a spring sale last week, I finally decided to place in my order. After seeing my friends wear them and listening to them praise and praise and praise. I have been DYING to order some ColourPop lipsticks for a few months now.
